Tyler Pasher signs for Birmingham Legion FC

Canadian professional soccer player, Tyler Pasher, has signed for Birmingham Legion FC in a multi-year contract, pending league and federation approval.

Pasher earned USL Championship All-League Second Team honours in 2020 with Indy Eleven and subsequently made 36 appearances across two seasons in Major League Soccer with Houston Dynamo FC. He came up through Toronto FC Academy, trained with the UK’s Newcastle United Youth team on multiple occasions and made his professional debut in Finland in 2013 for PS Kemi Kings, where he went on to make 22 appearances and score 11 goals. Since then, Pasher has played for New York Red Bulls and in the USL Championship with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC and the Swope Park Rangers. In addition, in 2021 he was called up to the Canadian Men’s National Team for the Concacaf Gold Cup.

In total, Pasher has made 136 regular season and playoff appearances in the USL Championship and recorded 31 goals and 14 assists. As a result of his consistent performance, Birmingham Legion FC General Manager has been keenly observing Pasher for some time and sees him as “a talented player with pace, creativity and the ability to finish.”

Upon signing for Birmingham Legion FC, Pasher said that he is “extremely excited to take part in the project the club is building and to join a team of extremely talented players with a lot of experience”. His aim is to “assist the team in any way I can to achieve the goal of bringing trophies to the city of Birmingham.”

The Sporting Talent team in the US and the UK join together in congratulating Pasher in his new signing and wish both Pasher and Birmingham Legion FC every success for the coming season.
